7 Regional Heads in East Java Caught By KPK

Narcotics Crime in the Police Body Increases 221 Percent

Tito Karnavian said the increase occurred in two things, namely an increase in the narcotics consumption sector and drug criminal offenses. "Discrimination in drug consumption increases by 2.8 percent, while criminal drug abuse has increased 221 percent," Tito said at the National Police Headquarters' Release Event, South Jakarta, Thursday (12/27). In 2017 there were 289 violations of police who were disciplined because of using narcotics. Meanwhile, throughout 2018 there were 297 members who consumed narcotics.
