Wind-Rain Attack, Madrasah Classroom in Serang District, Banten Collapsed

Buletin Digital. Madrasah Al-Khairiyah, Kresek, Mancak, Serang District buildings collapsed in the face of rain and strong winds. One in three classrooms cannot be used.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (26/12) at around 21:00 WIB. Heavy rains and strong winds that hit the Mancak area made one class room unusable for teaching and learning activities.

"So it was the madrasa on that night, it rained heavily. The walls were wet. The wind came big after a day of tsunami," said Head of Alkhairiyah Kresek Madrasah, Didi Nurhadis, Friday (12/28/2018).

Didi said the building was indeed an old building. But the condition was nothing cracked or porous before collapsing hit by rain and strong winds.

"The building is old, it's been a long time, but the collapsed condition is still intact, there's nothing to crack," he said.

To rebuild the classroom, it needs a helping hand from philanthropists.
